  4. counting records in pl/sql

    Hi, issue in the counting no of records in complex query. the query contains join , group by and union. when the query executes as a sql statement it works fine, while the same query execute with in the pl/sql block it returns 0(zero).
  5. issue in trigger process

    Hiii, I have a trigger which contains more than 1500 lines of code to process the record. before the process of 1st record complete in trigger, 2nd records comes to process in trigger. so that the second records which is in processing of trigger that record unable to find the unique values ,which are created recently by the 1st record in any other table.

    HIII, SELECT DISTINCT A.COL3,B.BLOB_COLUMN FROM TABLE1 A,TABLE2 B WHERE A.COL1=B.COL1; I am getting error ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected - got BLOB in this query. can any one fix my issue ? How I will use distinct keyword and blob column in a query.

  10. Dead lock issue

    hiii I have a issue in my database on regular basis. I have 2 dump log table in my database.Both the table contains triggers. continuously data is inserting in the main table. in the main table one trigger is used which check some condition then it insert into a sub table. But some time because of deadlock issue data is not inserting into tables. INITRANS=1,PCTFREE=10 in both tables. By increasing INITRANS, is the the deadlock issue will be fix , if not then give any other solution.

    hii , When i call the url from pl/sql block it works fine. but when i call that url from procedure/trigger I got this error ERROR::ORA-29273: HTTP request failed ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1722 ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL)

    HIII Which one give better performance sub query or join and why ? I know that both of them are used for different purpose but we can use a join statement instead of sub query in some cases in that case which on is better and why? Ex:-1 select empno,ename,sal from emp e ,dept d where e.deptno=d.deptno; Ex:2 select empno,ename,sal from emp where deptno=(select deptno from dept) In the above examples which one is give better performance and why ? Thanks in advance............
