    DB Instance went down

Hi Burleson, Thank you very much for your reply. The issue happened in client machine and they have re-installed oracle without rectifying the issue. Actually this issue is not resolved even though restart the database after set proper ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME and also bounced windows OS. As of now, Oracle reinstalled. I have asked them to take PFILE backup and Alert log file. It will help to up the database and resolve the issue if we face the same issue later. Please let me know your view on this.
  2. Hi Burleson, Thank you very much for your reply. Actually i need to user NETWORK_LINK. Because this parameter used in PRD and working fine. I have tried to use in Development environment(Impdp from Source to Remote DB). Actually, i did the below steps based on your guidence(http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_expdp_network_link.htm) (1) Configured TNS in Remote DB to access the Source DB (2) Create DB Link(PUBLIC_LINK_TO_PROD) in Remote to access the Source DB tables (3) Impdp command execute in Remote DB for the import Source table in Remote DB impdp <Source_schema>/<Password>@TNS logfile=Import_logfile.log network_link=PUBLIC_LINK_TO_PROD tables=FAM_RECON table_exists_action=truncate remap_schema=<Source_schema>:<Remote_Schema> But getting the below error. << Import: Release 12.1.0.2.0 - Production on Wed Nov 21 12:01:25 2018 Copyright (c) 1982, 2014, Oracle and/or its affiliates. 5. Oracle 12c DB1 & DB2 is available in Server 1 & Server2 respectively. I have created DB Link in DB2(DB Link Name: PUBLIC_LINK_TO_PROD) to access the data of DB1. I can access the DB1 data in DB2 after created the DB link. Now i want to use Network_link impdp parameter for the DB Schema user import from Source DB(DB1) to Remote DB(DB1) using DB link. Used the below command; impdp DB2Schema/Password directory=DATA_PUMP_DIR logfile=Dev_Import_Log.log tables=employee_table remap_schema=fromschema:toschema table_exists_action=truncate network_link=PUBLIC_LINK_TO_PROD But i am getting below error during import process. 7. The below query can be executed in oracle using Concurrent users.(user1 & user2) Here two users executed the query at same time using below query; delete from test; insert into test values('Ram',101); insert into test values('Kumar',102); insert into test values('Khan',103); insert into test values('Kum',104); insert into test values('Ram',105); commit; If some records(Example 5 records) exist in test table means, DB session of second user will wait untill the commit operation completed by the first user. Output after completed 2 users operation completed: 5 records Behaviour: user1 - Deleted 5 records and inserted 5 records. user2 - Deleted 5 records and inserted 5 records.(After completes user1 operation) If no records exist in test table means, the data loaded by both the users in the table test. Output after completed 2 users operation completed: 10 records Behaviour: user1 - Deleted 0 records and inserted 5 records. user2 - Deleted 0 records and inserted 5 records.(No lock operations happened). Can you please provide the behaviour of oracle when DELETE operations happened in empty table as no lock occurred it seems. How can i resolve this issue as i am getting different result for same queries?
  8. I am executing one SELECT query in 2 database(Different server). Its executing fast(2 seconds) in server 1. But it is taken 45 minutes in another server 2. Both database configuration is same. But Server 2 is less configuration compare with Server 1. I have analyzed using AWR Report as it seems,\ "direct path write temp" is taken high time in Top 10 Foreground Events by Total Wait Time. User I/O also high. Also i have monitored during query execution. Temp space is increasing while execute that query. I have already allocated enough temp space. Please let us know the way to avoid Direct I/O and "direct path write temp". Please suggest.

Clear Buffer Memory using Flush command

Thank you very much for your reply. 1) Any way is there to clear JFS buffer cache without bounce the database? 2) Also, One more question related with SELECT for INSERT. I am using INSERT statement. It has been taken records from another SELECT statement. If i execute SELECT statement alone, it has been taken 15 seconds for the execution. If i execute INSERT using this same SELECT statement, it has been taken 3 minutes for the execution. Why INSERT statement has taken long time(3 minutes) even if we use SELECT statement which one taken 15 seconds. Please suggest your ideas. Thanks in advance.
  12. Development team given SQL queries to tune. As a DBA, Required to tune the SQL Query Performance. 1) Can you please provide any useful link about SQL Query Tuning Tips. 2) I am using AWR Report to take explain plan. Please give ideas, how can i analyze the query performance using AWR SQL Report? 3) Any performance tuning tool is there to analyze or suggest recommendation to improve query performance? Thanks in advance for your support.
  13. I am checking SQL Query execution time in Testing database. SQL Query has been taken 20 seconds to execute in First time. After that, it has been taken 5 seconds to execute in second time. Because it has been taken output from buffer memory. So execution is fast. To check actual time of execution time, Clear the buffer using below command and re-execute the query. alter system checkpoint; alter system flush shared_pool; alter system flush buffer_cache; My understanding, if we clear the shared memory using above query, query execution is again will take 20 seconds, because it is like as first time execution. But it has been taken only 8 seconds. Please suggest if any other way is there to flush the buffer memory. NOTE: Next day, if i execute the query, it has been taken 20 seconds for the first time execution. then taken 5 to 8 seconds even clean the buffer.
  14. Hi Burleson, Thank you very much for your reply.
